I'm changing my 5 star review to 1 star, I should've posted this back in 2020 but unfortunately never got around to it. Dr. Cohen refused to see my son when he found out that he opted in to not wear the mask in school (this is when LISD gave parents/students a choice of wearing a mask and was not mandatory anymore). He told us that he will no longer be my son's pediatrician (he treated my son for 5 years and we had a really good relationship) and that we need to find another pediatrician. What was done to my son was so wrong specially when he loved going to Dr. Cohen. I was super shocked because he was judgmental and irrational. And around the same time there were so many other people had similar experience like me and posted it as their review. I'm not sure how they are still in business. The review below I posted 6 years ago!! Love, Love, Love Dr. Joe Cohen. He is amazing with kids. My son loves him!! Every time he sees him they joke around, give each other high fives. Very nice, clean facility at a very convenient location. His staff are very friendly and always going above and beyond to help their clients in every possible way. Couldn't be happier with the service and treatment they provide for the little humans.

Dr. Henderson has provided quality care for both of my daughters. My daughters love to visit her because she genuinely cares for their health and progress. Dr. Henderson has always provided wonderful support to myself and my husband as new parents. She has always been quick to respond to any notes I put into her to just ask general questions that may not require a doctor's visit. We feel confident that we're receiving the best care in Austin. Highly recommend her!

I had very good opinion about Dr. Cohen until today. My visit today was for my daughter’s annual check up. So, everything what we needed is to make sure that everything alright and my daughter is growing up healthy.Instead of focusing on my daughter and her health, our conversation even his long monologue was beginning about coronavirus, and vaccinations for ME. I didn’t want to keep that conversation, but Dr. Cohen kept pushing me to get vaccination. Last that he told us was that he will not accept our appointment if I will not be vaccinated. So this is not professional, and even ridiculous to discuss in rude manner my vaccination in presence of my daughter.So, I definitely will look for another doctor for my daughter, who will be more respectful to children and their parents.

To keep my review short, Dr. Henderson told us in our last regular check for my 7 y/o daughter that she will no longer be able to see my daughter because she hasn’t gotten her COVID vaccine!! I told her that my wife and I are vaccinated but we don’t feel comfortable to have our daughter get vaccinated at this age. After our visit, they mailed us two letter saying that they can’t treat our daughter anymore but they didn’t specify the reason!! Good luck for Dr. Henderson and your entire team, we will definitely find a better pediatrician in no time.

I highly recommend CP Pediatrics. Dr. Joe and Dr. Henderson are fantastic and both do a wonderful job caring for our children. We primarily see Dr. Joe and always look forward to our visits. He takes the time to hear our concerns and give us plenty of information about any issues/questions we have. We appreciate how direct he is, while also showing his love and care for our children. He is patient even when our toddlers are scared or moody and works to gain their trust. You can tell how much he loves what he does, and his knowledge and skill shines through. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with our kids.

A 1-star review wouldn't be fair as the doctors are fantastic here. The office staff, not so much. This really drags down the rating. Twice, we have scheduled with a doctor and had to reschedule (life happened to us once, and illness happened to them once). That was not a difficult process, however, they have two locations, and if you are a new customer, they don't tell you which one to go to. The first time, no biggie, we were new. Oops, wrong office, chalk it up to a mistake. Everyone was cool about it, and they told us right away when we showed up at the wrong place. The kicker is that we saw another person do the exact same thing, so it must be an issue. The second time, we checked in at the desk and waited about 20 mins (that's a long time considering they make you wait in your vehicle to keep the waiting room traffic to a minimum), so we went back to the desk to see what was taking so long and they said we were supposed to be at the other location... After we checked in. After we waited. When we called the correct office, they were rude about it and didn't attempt to try to help us get seen still. They said, "Sorry, you have to reschedule." We were on the phone while driving and had made it to their office by 23 mins after the originally scheduled time, but still were turned away. We were still on the phone outside when they said we wouldn't make it fast enough. Considering that there are many options for pediatric services, this office and/or office manager should consider that and make customer service something that they pay attention to. We chose to take our business to another pediatrician based on the lack of customer service. These offices are simply too busy for the staff that they have. They aren't understaffed. They just have the wrong people. We would love to give it another try if they made some changes. A few suggestions would be: 1- you shouldn't be allowed to check in at a location if you don't have an appointment. Use that as a failsafe. Pretty simple. 2-maybe use two different curbside check in automated phone numbers to differentiate the locations rather than the same one with the same responses. 3- train the office staff to better help when things don't go as planned. Offer solutions, rather than saying "Sorry, that shouldn't happen". 4- send appointment reminders that include the location of services. This should be standard when you have multiple locations. It would keep a lot of mishaps like this from happening.
